Ashwin, who took a total of six wickets as India lost the first Test against England by 28 runs, was rated at 853 points. Meanwhile, Bumrah, who also took six wickets, moved up to fourth place.
Another Indian player in his top 10 bowling rankings is left-arm spinner Ravindra Jadeja, who is ranked 6th. Moreover, Jadeja maintains his top spot in the Test all-rounder rankings.
Joe Root, currently in fourth place, could soon become a challenge if the England veteran continues to perform well with the ball.

Best known for his batting prowess, the 33-year-old also showed off his valuable spin bowling skills by taking five wickets in the Hyderabad Test. Root trailed Ashwin and Shakib Al Hasan, while Axar Patel dropped back to 6th place.
Virat Kohli has moved up to the 6th spot, becoming the only Indian to feature among the top 10 batsmen. Meanwhile, Ollie Pope, who stunned India with a brilliant 196 in the second inning, has moved up 20 places to 15th in the rankings.
