FEB-1, 2024 Interim Budget announcement included a number of innovative initiatives aimed at strengthening various sectors of the economy and addressing pressing social challenges.

Electric vehicle charging: Entrepreneurship opportunities and employment possibilities for young providers trained in electric vehicle manufacturing, installation, and maintenance.

Promoting post-harvest activities: Governments will promote private and public investment in post-harvest activities such as aggregation, advanced storage, supply chain, processing, marketing, and branding.

Expansion of nano-DAP applications: Following the success of nano-urea, nano-DAP applications are being expanded to various crops in all agro-climatic zones.

Housing for the Middle Class: Launch a program to help vulnerable members of the middle class living in rented houses, slums, chars, or unauthorized colonies to buy or build their own homes.

Expansion of Medical Colleges: The government plans to establish more medical colleges utilizing existing hospital infrastructure and will set up a committee to review and make recommendations.

Vaccinating Girls: Promote the vaccination of girls ages 9 to 14 to prevent cervical cancer.

Comprehensive Maternal and Child Health Program: Various maternal and child health programs will be integrated into one comprehensive program to increase synergy in implementation.
