Jan. 11: The Hanuman Jayanthi Festival is being celebrated across the country. Devotees have been visiting the famous Anjaneya temples in Tamil Nadu and different parts of the country since early morning.
The famous Anjaneya temple is located in the heart of Namakkal town. An 18-foot-tall Anjaneya carved from a single stone adorns the pendants here. The Anjaneya Jayanti festival is held every year in this temple with great pomp and grandeur.
Namakkal Anjaneya appeared before devotees with a garland of 1,00,008 vadas at 5 a.m. today. Devotees who visit the temple from early morning wait in long lines to have darshan of the deity. A special Abhishek was performed at around 11 a.m. Anjaneya then adorned his devotees with golden Armour.
