Indore: Opting to bowl for the second consecutive time, India started with seamers Arshdeep Singh and Mukesh Kumar, with leg Spinner Ravi settled down for Bishnoi in the third over. The Bishnoi attacked almost immediately and captured Rahmanullah Gulbaz’s wicket.

Naib came to the crease and immediately showed determination as Afghanistan reached 58/2 at the end of the powerplay. He hit a couple of fours against Mukesh in the fourth over, playing a short ball to deep square leg before hitting a full toss over the covers. Knaib’s attack then took him to 50 off 28 balls.

Afghanistan still managed to reach 172, with the contributions of Karim Jannat and Mujeeb Ur Rahman. For India, Arshadeep Singh picked his 3 wickets ,while Ravi Bishnoi and Axar Patel took 2 wickets. Axar Patel had a brilliant spell of 2 wickets for 17 runs in his 4 overs.

India chasing 173 runs was once again disappointed by Rohit Sharma. Sharma was dismissed for a duck the second time in a row in this series and Kohli went for a quick 16-ball 29. Chasing 173 in the second T20I, Jaiswal hit 68 in just 34 balls (5×4, 6×6) to lead India to a six-wicket victory and an unassailable 2-0 lead in the 3 match t20 series against Afghanistan. Shivam Dube, another left-handed batsman, was equally impressive. The Mumbai all-rounder (63*, 32 balls) backed up his 40-ball 60* in the opener with another impressive performance. India easily chased down the target with 26 balls remaining and won the T20 series 2-0. Axar Patel was announced the Man of the Match.
