PM Modi inaugurates Rs 240-crore Ayodhya Dam Junction Railway Station: Details
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday inaugurated the first phase of redeveloped Ayodhya railway station, known as Ayodhya Dam Junction Railway Station and launched new Amrit-Bharat and Vande-Bharat trains. Prime Minister Modi arrived in Ayodhya and was warmly received by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
Prime Minister Modi’s visit to Ayodhya comes weeks before the grand inauguration of Ram Temple on January 22.
He also plans to inaugurate Maharishi Valmiki International Airport Ayodhya Dham on Saturday. PM Modi will also attend public programmes to inaugurate several development projects worth over Rs 15,000 crore in the state and lay the foundation.

Ayodhya Dam Junction Railway Station
Ayodhya Dam Junction Railway Station was built at a cost of over Rs 240 cr.
The three-story modern station building is equipped with all modern facilities, such as elevators, escalators, food stalls, a puja supply store, a cloakroom, a nursery room, and a waiting area.
The station building will be an “IGBC-certified green station building” that is “easy for everyone to use.”
Amrit Bharat 2 train and Vande Bharat 6 train
Prime Minister Modi will flag off the Amrit Bharat Express 2 train and the Vande Bharat Express 6 train from the renovated Ayodhya Dham station.
Amrit Bharat Express is a new category of super-high-speed passenger train with LHB push-pull facilities. However, these trains are equipped with non-air-conditioned cars.
It offer improved facilities for rail passengers, including beautifully designed seats, improved luggage racks, mobile charging stations with suitable mobile phone holders, LED lighting, CCTV, and public information systems.
The new Amrit Bharat trains will run as Darbhanga-Ayodhya-Anand Vihar Terminal Amrit Bharat Express and Malda Town-Sir M Vishvesvaraya Terminal (Bengaluru) Amrit Bharat Express.
Vande Bharat Express trains including the Vande Bharat Express between Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra-New Delhi. Amritsar – Delhi Vande Bharat Express. Cantt Vande Bharat Express between Coimbatore and Bangalore. Mangalore – Madgaon Vande Bharat Express. Vande Bharat Express between Jalna and Mumbai and Vande Bharat Express between Ayodhya and Anand Vihar Terminal.
The Prime Minister also dedicated three railway projects worth Rs 2,300 crore to the country to strengthen the railway infrastructure in the region.
